PT-4CS

4 Channel Programmable DC Current Sink

Simulation of active antennas for the test of modern multimedia components. The slot-in module PT-4CS is a 4-channel, programmable DC current sink, suitable for the frequency range 100 kHz…8500 MHz to simulate DC loads of active antennas. Each current sink is adjustable in the range 0…400 mA in 0.5 mA steps. Internal voltmeters enables the measurement of phantom supply voltages in each channel.

Wideband

The operation bandwidth extends from 100 kHz up to 8500 MHz. Thereby the slot-in module is suitable for the test of components of all common broadcast, cellular radio and wireless standards.

Applications

The programmable DC current sink PT-4CS enables the simulation of active antennas in automated tests. Each current sink is settable in the range  0…400 mA in 0.5 mA steps. The value of the phantom supply voltage can vary in the range 1.5 V to 15 V. By the wide current and voltage range, active antennas in different executions and properties can be simulated.

Compact module design

The rugged module design of the PT-4CS is designated for the integration into the SR6-11C System platform. Up to 10 modules PT-4CS
(40 DC current sinks) can be integrated into one SR6-11C System. The module PT-4CS can be combined with other slot-in modules in the SR6-11C system platform. The voltage supply of the modules occurs by the internal power supply of the system platform without the requirement of additional cabling. The modular concept enables quick and easy maintenance (MTTR) by the changing modules.
